Installation of a new roof for a new housing development
R. J. Collins undertook the roofing element of 12 new residential flats built across two blocks.
The roof was completed with Redland concrete pan tiles. Detailed lead work was carried out on the parapet, the area where the roof meets the wall as well as around the Velux windows in the top flats.
A dry ventilated ridge was included as well as a fascia vent to help air flow ventilation, allowing the roof to breathe.

Logistics Management & Solar Integration
The small site was located in a cul-de-sac next to existing residential houses and a children’s park. Restricted access and limited storage space resulted in careful planning.
The team also worked closely with the solar engineers to install the solar photovoltaic panels on the roof to ensure quality was not compromised.
